After three years of being away from his home town, Lloyd Bannings returns in the hope of following in his brother’s path and join an organization called the Crossbell Police Department. Lloyd arrives and discovers they have assigned him to the Special Support Section. This is a department that deals with the odd and minor demands. They meet his new colleagues including Elie MacDowell, the niece of the city’s mayor; Randy Orlando, a womanizing former soldier; and Tio Plato, a young techno-savant.
Lloyd and his fellow colleagues carry on their fight for a better city, even though their department is ridiculed by media. However, as they go about their business they are slowly confronted with the corrupt criminality that has engulfed their city. It isn’t clear how deep the shadows of Crossbell City go…
